                             Relation between political science and economics

Ø  Every economic activities are carried on within the state and political activities are related to state and government.
Ø  All economic questions are inter twined in the political issues.
Ø  Political movements can be influenced by economic causes and economic upheavals can be prevailed by political instability.
Ø  Economic achievements can be possible by good administration and political performance in political system.
                          Differences

Ø  Economics is concerned with things while political science with people. It means we can say that one deals with prices and other with values and virtues.
Ø  Political science is normative science while economics is descriptive science.


                              Relation of political science and sociology
Ø  Sociology is parent science of all social science. So sociology is the fundamental social science.

Ø  Political science is the subdivision of sociology-former originated after the origin of society.

Ø  Political science has widened its scope to a good understanding of both the nature o society and the behavior of individual which is merely a subject of sociology.

Ø  According to Prof. Giddings, “to teach the theory of state to men who had not learned the first principle of sociology is like teaching astronomy or thermodynamics to men who have not learnt the Newtonian law of motions.”

Ø  Revolution and social upheavals occur in society which affect political system, but to solve such problems, governments actions are to be regulated.
